Statement on A.I.

Confidentiality

I take the privacy of all clients - current, past and prospective - seriously. I use a Remarkable tablet which is not connected to the internet for brief, anonymised note-taking.

I do not use any note-taking apps, practice management software, A.I. transcription tools,  between-session support platforms, A.I. writing assistants used for clinical correspondence. I do not use any A.I. tools to handle client data or inform clinical decisions, record sessions whether in person or online. I do not have devices “listening in”, nor do I use A.I. tools to take notes or summarise sessions. I will not enter any of your details or details of your sessions into A.I. tools. I do not use Chat GPT, Claude or similar in my work at all.

Professional Standards

I do not use A.I. tools to prepare for sessions, to reflect on sessions, nor to pursue knowledge or understanding of theory or client issues. I attend regular trainings and workshops to continue my professional development. Training and workshops are delivered by established training providers and professional bodies.

As part of my commitment to clients and my professional practice I have regular supervision. I do not use any A.I. tools to inform my decisions or in place of supervision. As is standard in the supervisory relationship I maintain client confidentiality when discussing my work.

I use tools provided by Squarespace CMS for marketing purposes. These are compliant with GDPR and European data security standards: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy

I may use other A.I. software as a marketing tool for my business.
